Fourteen years experience in developing technology solutions for the transportation, logistics, health care, insurance, and brokerage markets. Malec brings a unique balance of business process with technology solutions, this unique balance coupled with product development experience allows him to develop flexible solutions that an organization can utilize for many years. Malec started as a consultant working with small local businesses working directly with business owners to help develop processes and solutions to help their organization operate and grow.
In 1994 Malec ventured into corporate accounts such as Commonwealth Edison, Panasonic, and Prudential and continued the consulting approach to help department heads and managers leverage technology and process to help run their businesses. In 1996 Malec lead the development of a major POS solution which is used by many large retailers. In 1997 he started his own consulting firm with key clients such as Discover Card and University Health Systems Consortium (UHC).
Malec joined WWLS in 2003 where in six months lead the creation of the Freight Payment system, in this period the platform was processing invoices from over 100 carriers. The platform to date has processed over 1 million invoices totaling over 350 million dollars and has improved their customers overall transportation spend by 4.5%, the platform is scheduled to support up to 5 years online of the customers' data in one system.
